Large Animal Attendants
Cassie is wonderful office manager. She has worked around animals her entire life and enjoys helping people with their pets. She has dogs, cats, chicken, and a bearded dragon. She enjoys fossil hunting and gaming.
Aracely began working as a kennel attendant in September of 2018. She is currently working as a veterinary assistant. She has plans of becoming a licensed veterinary technician. She owns 1 dog and likes to paint in her free time.
Chelsea is a Licensed and Registered Veterinary Technician. She is a Murray State College graduate and is a licensed in Oklahoma and Texas. She enjoys spending time with her son and crafting and has 2 dogs and 1 cat.
Anthony is a large animal attendant. He has experience working with most animals. He spends most of his days helping with large animals along with Dwyane.
Refinery Road Veterinary Clinic has been in operation since 1951. The clinic is a mixed practice, treating animals from big bulls to small chihuahuas! We strive to provide the best possible services for your pets and have affordable rates for routine procedures.
Desiree is a student at Gainesville High School. She is an active member of Gainesville FFA. She has competed in mutliple Veterinary Science competions through FFA. She loves working with animals, and hopes to become a veterinarian one day.
Laura is the newest addition to the RRVC family. She is currently on track to become a licensed veterinary technician. She is a great advocate for our patients.
Brandee is one of our wonderful receptionists. She is busy mother of 2 children. She loves photography and scrapbooking. She owns an adorable chihuahua.
Lucas was our clinic dog for many years and he saved countless lives of dogs that have needed blood transfusions. As Lucas got older, we realized that he needed to be a part of a family. Shortly after, Gina’s daughter decided to adopt Lucas! Although he is no longer at our clinic, we are so happy that he is still a part of our family.
Lisa is our Vet Tech Supervisor. She has experience in handling all types of animals, from dogs and cats to horses and cows. She owns cats, dogs, and horses. She enjoys riding her horses in her spare time, and is Captain of the Whitesboro Riding Club Drill Team.
Dr. Samuel Leach graduated from Texas A&M in 1988, then completed his post-graduate studies at Refinery Road Veterinary Clinic for about 4 months. He and his family then moved to Africa for agriculture missions for about a year. Afterward, he started and owned his own veterinary practice in Florida for about 10 years. Continuing his agriculture missions, he then moved to Central Asia with his family for about 9 years before returning to Gainesville in 2007 to become a partner at Refinery Road Vet Clinic. Sam is happily married and has 6 children and one pet rat, and enjoys activities like woodworking and beekeeping.
Patricia is a veterinary assistant. She has recently been accepted into the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She is also a very talented artist.
Dr. Anna Godwin started at Refinery Road Veterinary clinic in 2018 as a recent graduate. She grew up in Grapevine, Texas. She completed her undergraduate at Ouachita Baptist University and completed vet school at Texas A&M University. She is married with two children. She has 1 dog and 13 fish as pets. She enjoys home projects and building furniture.
Kelsey is one of our receptionists. She was born in Kansas, but raised in Texas. She owns a shih tzu named Cooper Wade. She is a licensed cosmetologist and she loves to spend time with her family.
Dr. John Horn was born in Artesia, New Mexico, and grew up in Springer. He went to school in College Station and graduated from Texas A&M in 1990. He started working as a vet at Refinery Road Vet Clinic the same year. Dr. Horn is happily married and has two children, two grandchildren, three dogs, and three cats. He first got his pilot's license in 2009. In 2011, he bought an experimental aircraft kit and finished building his first plane in 2013 and enjoys flying in his spare time.
Alex is currently still in high school. He loves taking care of animals and likes to spend time with his family in his free time. He is an active member in Gainesville FFA . He has completed in many veterinary science competitions.
Dr. Justin Hartman graduated from Texas A&M in 2000 with a doctorate in veterinary medicine with honors and a bachelor's degree in veterinary science with honors. He became a partner at Refinery Road Veterinary Clinic the same year. Dr. Hartman is happily married and has three girls, many dogs, and horses. Dr. Hartman also makes time to work with one his favorite charities, Noah's Ark Animal Shelter. He has many hobbies, including beekeeping, home brewing, viticulture (growing grapes), horseback riding and hunting. He also loves hiking and Colorado, so be careful if you mention this or you will have him share many pictures of his adventures with you!
Gina has years of experience in veterinary medicine, as well as human medicine. She has many pets including 4 dogs, 1 cat, 3 chickens, and 2 horses. She has been married for over 20 years and has 1 daughter. She enjoys horseback riding in her free time.
Courtney started in August 2019. She earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Science with a minor in equine studies. She owns 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 horse, and cows. She likes to play video games in her free time.
Dwayne is our large animal vet tech. He has years of experience with cattle. Dwayne has a big family and spends his spare time taking care of his own cattle.
Katja is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She is originally from Germany, and has spent the summer with her children visiting the country.
Lexy began working with us as a kennel attendant. She has since become a tech assistant and kennel manager. Lexy has many pets and is a very compassionate caretaker, and a great advocate of our patients!
